The hands to feet pose is the third posture in the Bikram yoga series. This poses increase spinal flexibility, especially in the lower back, and release pressure on the sciatic nerves. This posture stretches the tendons and muscles of the back of the legs and strengthens the quadriceps. This yoga pose also improves circulation in the legs. This pose calls for locking out the knee. Make sure to flex your quadricep to lift your kneecap when peforming any Bikram pose requiring a knee lock. This will protect the tendons under your kneecap from strain.
