This excursion leaves early in the morning, and begins with an hour long boat ride to the island. You'll observe the pristine Costa Rican coastline as you sail out into the Gulf of Nicoya. It's a short trip to Tortuga and depending on the time of year, you may see whales, turtles, and giant manta rays. Enjoy the blue waters of the Pacific as you soak up some sun. On Tortuga, you'll be able to snorkel right off the white sand beach. There is no reef, but the waters are teeming with marine life. Brightly colored fish await you around every curve. Snorkeling gear is included as well as lunch, and non-alcoholic drinks. There are also several hiking trails, pure white sand beaches, and many species of birds. Wild pigs, or peccaries, also inhabit the island. Be careful, they're unpredictable. As the sun begins to go down, you'll be on your way back to Docelunas in time for dinner. Cost is approximately $100, book at the front desk and enjoy a beautiful Pacific island.
